I live in Ohio, and I'm pretty sure the most important issue in the midterms here will be the economy. If inflation is at 7% or greater, as it is now, most Ohioans will vote against the party in power in Washington, and you know which one that is.

I'm a socialist, so I probably won't even bother to vote. I certainly won't vote for Ryan, who is a typically corrupt neoliberal shill, and naturally won't vote for whichever Republican idiot gets their nomination, so I have no dog in this fight.

Our infrastructure is crumbling, our homeless population is increasing, the opioid epidemic continues unchecked and unmentioned, and the unions are just as corrupt and in bed with management as the Democrats they finance.

Biden hasn't delivered on any of his campaign promises in any meaningful way, and the Democratic base is demoralized and increasingly apathetic. Unless something changes, the Republicans can run a yellow dog with a Trump button on its collar and beat Ryan easily.
