With the punditburo wholly gripped by the daily escalation of Donald J. Trump v. Ron D. DeSantis, you’d be forgiven if you had forgotten Joe Biden launched his re-election campaign nearly six full weeks ago.

There’s been no formal kick-off with fans or union hall rallies in Wisconsin or Pennsylvania. He is not *hitting back* at Marianne Williamson. What accounted for “news” recently is when Biden briefly praised the cast of Republicans running 20 to 50 points behind Trump as “competent.”

As to say ‘“good luck, go get ‘em,” before hurling the tennis ball back down the ravine.

That’s the latent potency of incumbency: Simply doing the day-to-day president-ing campaigns for itself.

2024 is here. Time to join the gang.

Suffice to say, news on the Biden side of the 2024 campaign ledger is like a piece of Sargento Swiss cheese: thin-sliced and laced with holes.
