A former New Hampshire attorney general and Republican national committeeman, Rath has been intricately involved in GOP campaigns in the Granite State for decades — at least when things were relatively normal.

Most recently he chaired Mitt Romney’s presidential endeavor there, which tells you where he sits in the current Republican Party cleavage over Trumpism.

Now, Trump-like candidate Don Bolduc is the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in a race against a first-term incumbent many viewed as eminently vulnerable.
