This is Too Close To Call, a newsletter about Politics, with occasional diversions into the Personal quandaries of Real Life.

It will focus on campaigns and candidates as well as the overriding issues shaping our public debates. It will also occasionally lift the curtain on how political reporting is actually made, unveiling some unspoken truths about Washington journalism.

Finally, it will aspire to dive into life’s thornier personal questions and conundrums; instances or decisions that are less black and white and more gray. Things that are tougher to type about. Hence the name, Too Close To Call.
